The extensive proposal by Cary's Preston Development includes homes, offices, retail and hotel. The plans may fluctuate but they currently call for 900-1800 homes, both single family and apartment. For office space up to 500,000 square feet is proposed, likely in low rise buildings. The retail portion could reach 200,000 square feet. Finally, the hotel is the most variable portion, potentially rising up to 10 stories and 300 rooms. This would make the building disproportionally large compared to its neighbors, which may become an issue.
